This should have been better. It’s about the recovery of a kidnapped victim who works for a large corporation, which leaves him twisting in the wind when they are bought out by a larger corporation. Meg Ryan’s character is then forced to save her husband’s life on her own. The husband and wife relationship was very weak and lacked any depth. They might as well have been two strangers passing each other on the street. Mix in an inkling of an inappropriate romance between Russell Crowe and Meg Ryan that was unnecessary and also didn’t move the story in any direction. The recovery of the husband by Crowe and how the kidnappers operate was the most interesting part of the story.
